Sedentary [CLOSED] Empty Sedentary [CLOSED]

Lilith honestly was quite unsure how much time had even passed since she'd been 'disposed of' as she like to put it. Dropped off and locked up like some sort of animal who could not pass a temperament test. The girls general attitude spoke loud and clear that she was miserable about absolutely everything - her surroundings, herself, the list went on. Having spent the last few days for the most part unmoving, a zombie simply going through the motions she hadn't allowed herself to really get a feel for where she was yet. Hell, she hadn't even been capable of doing so. The withdrawal had a horrible grip on her body and it was still going strong, but slowly things would improve. Thing always had to get worse before they got better, right?

Just how oblivious she had been to most of what was going on around her somewhat worried her in the times she was able to form thoughts coherent and practical enough to understand. Had she acquired a roommate? As far as she knew, she'd simply been left alone to her own devices, doing nothing but laying around and sleeping. Sedentary. At any rate, it was morning time apparently from what she could tell (actually she couldn't - though her body had woken itself up, so it was simply what she assumed) and it had been the first day she didn't feel completely on deaths door. Eventually she managed to pull herself out of bed, looking nothing less then a wreck of course. There was nothing glamourous or appealing about the way the female looked. Still, she did manage a moment to softly rake her hands through her lengthy dark hair as if that would do anything. Lord, she wanted a shower. Had she even showered? Things were such a blur.

Eventually she did manage to pull herself to her feet with a tired heavy grunt and head towards the door. Honestly she had fully expected it to be locked, but without thinking a hand wrapped around anyways and gave a pull. Well.... that was a surprise. A small gasp pushed past her lips, and dragging herself to the door way, seconds later the head of the short female was peeking out, looking for any other signs of life.

Caroline had been just across the hall when she heard a door behind her open, head tilting to see a girl about her size poking her head out the door. Caroline absently continued charting for the patient she'd just seen, but turned toward the younger girl. Her eyes raised to look at the girl, and she found the girl was... messy. In hindsight, she had seen the girl before, usually sleeping. The girl seemed like she was suffering, and she probably was.

"Morning," she greeted, smiling, "I'm Caroline. A nurse." She kept charting, since she was almost done, and then it would be on to the girl's room, actually. When she finished, she initialed the entry she made and replaced it on the door she took it from, capping her pen and putting it in her pocket. Now it was time to figure out what exactly this girl needed.

"What's your name? Can I get you anything?" Caroline took a cautioned step forward, not wanting to startle the girl, but still wanting to help. "You're welcome to come out, you know. I won't stop you."

Messy was a good word to describe it.

The days prior, Lilith's eyes had been half lidded and heavy, but it seemed she was the most alert right now then she had been at all during her arrival. Not that she felt great by any means, but a few days of doing nothing but sleeping off sickness had to do somewhat of an improvement.

Her gaze was more alert now, flicking from left to right with no real idea of what exactly she was looking for. Just another person, really. Someone to interact with? No, that would be pushing it too far. The girl was more of an observer anyways, but it would be nice to confirm that her unconscious fears that she'd slept for 300 years and now was the last girl on earth were in fact false.

The nurse came into view easily enough and Lilith took a small step back, cowering in the doorway, but she didn't disappear. The expression on her pale face contorted into concern, paranoia maybe, if one wanted to look further into it. She wasn't exactly very trusting. As the nurse went on about her duties, she just silently observed, taking in the little details from head to toe. What kind of shoes did the woman wear, how did she carry herself? It wasn't even exactly a conscious thing... it just.. was.

"W-what?" She mumbled out after a moment, realizing she'd been spoken to. As her voice rolled off her dry lips, she realized just how thirsty she was. Ugh. To say anything, or not. Everything was over analyzed in this girls head. But the mention that she could come out admittedly surprised her, she had not realized that before and the fact the door was unlocked was surprising enough.

"I can come out?" This most certainly flustered her. It was obviously a trap.

Caroline gave a small laugh, like laughing at a puppy that hadn't really heard the command so it just kind of flopped over. Perhaps she was quick to assume that this girl was all there, and could follow their conversation as quickly as Caroline was used to progressing it. Most patients that wanted something from the nurse often spoke very little, but understandably, so she could get what they needed and go about their day.

"Yes, ma'am, you may come and go from that room whenever you please. Go for a walk, get something to eat, take a shower..." Caroline not-so-subtly introduced these ideas of things the girl should probably have done a while ago. "Anything short of causing a problem for yourself or anyone else you can do." She had never seen withdrawal herself – her father had never stopped using drugs long enough for it to happen – but she assumed it didn't exactly feel amazing or relieving in any way. She wished she knew what to do for the girl.

"Your name?" Caroline asked again, though she knew she could simply just check the charts and find out on her own. She figured it would be rude to do that right now, considering the girl was right there and could speak perfectly fine for herself. Her attention span was shoddy at best, but she could probably focus on one thing at a time, anyway.

Laughter in a situation like this seemed to be such a strange sound. Lilith didn't like it, and it showed by the way her brows furrowed, staring at the woman like she was absurd for a few brief seconds before her eyes yet again averted elsewhere.

The idea of being able to walk freely about the place was a little overwhelming. In a good way, of course - not that Lilith was one to make the 'best' of any situation by any means, call her a pessimist. However, some very faint glimpse of hope had now been filled since becoming aware she wasn't literally locked in the room alone. A shower. Yeah, she should probably get one of those soon.

Murmuring quietly to herself, nothing coherent of course, she seemed to be in thought yet again, only finally snapping out if it seemingly when the woman asked for her name. Yet again her eyes lifted to study the nurse in front of her for awhile. Warily of course. She still wasn't quite sure what to make of all of this.

"Lili." She did say after a moment, surprising even herself when she introduced herself by a nickname. It showed on her features too, the faintest hint of surprise and then a quick clearing of her throat. Bashfulness, a sign that she was at times a regular person with regular emotions.

"What time is it?" Quickly shifting the subject of course. She should probably even ask for the date, but she didn't want to seem that far out of it.

The silence that the girl created at her question made her question herself. Had she done something wrong? No, of course not. Simply asking for a name was no reason for treatment like she was being suspicious. Caroline had introduced herself, after all, but in hindsight she was unsure if the girl had decided to hear her or not.

"That's a pretty name," she said, without thinking if maybe that sounded a little condescending. "Lilies are my favorite flowers." she added in quickly, so as not to seem rude. She was happy the name finally came from Lili, though it seemed like she hadn't really expected to tell Caroline at all. She checked her watch at the question asked, caught slightly off-guard.

"Almost 10:30 in the morning. You can still get breakfast if you'd like. Do you want me to take you there?" Trying ever so hard to be as courteous as possible, it seemed a little hard for her to maneuver which words should be said. Lili seemed a bit like a minefield, and even simple topics, like a name, felt like they could backfire.
