Personality: Matthew's a likable guy. He's polite, smart, handsome and maybe even a little shy sometimes. By all accounts he's pretty normal until darkness falls.

Other comments: Suffers from PTSD, night terrors, insomnia and fits of extreme anger. Matthew has two raised scars that run ear to ear under his jaw. (I'm not that great at photoshop so just pretend they're there.)

RP Example: "Congratulations, Matthew!" The red headed nurse exclaimed while patting him gently on the back. His therapy had gone well. So well, in fact, that he was graduating to a new facility with state of the art programs that would get him healthy in no time. His dimples deepened as his grin widened. This was excellent news.

When he'd first come to Bakersfield Acres there seemed to be little to live for, but he'd gradually defeated those thoughts. Now, he could almost sleep through the night and he hadn't assaulted a single person in two weeks! It had taken three years of his life to get to where he was now. Countless vials of sedatives, hours of being poked, prodded and molested, forced to relive his most painful memories time and time again. It seemed as if he did, indeed, earn this. His fingertips subconsciously traced the thick, roped scars at his neck as if they were something sacred. Despite the way he tried to keep his head lowered, he was beaming with pride.

The escorted taxi ride from Tucson International had him fidgeting. Anxious, nervous, excited, terrified. Everything welled up in him at once. August, his red headed nurse, smiled and reassured him. Dark blue eyes bounced over everything as they pulled up to the Hill of Acropolis building. It wasn't much to look at from the outside which was disappointing. The barren, twisted trees and scorched grass seemed ominous.  Exiting the vehicle, he watched as two orderlies in white scrubs took his luggage which held very few belongings from him before turning to August. "Thanks for everything," He said with a smile. She smiled back and gave him a tight hug. He would miss her.

As he started up the steps two abnormally large men burst from the door and proceeded to take ahold of either arm. His brows twisted. Fingers joined together into fists as he dug his heels into the pavement. What the hell was this? He turned back just in time to see August talking to a man in a business suit -- presumably the institutions head.

"Thank god and thank you for taking this one off my hands! The guy's a loose cannon so it's better to keep him restrained at night. Good news is, he doesn't have any family in case an accident should happen."

Accepted, welcome to the Hill of Acropolis. Enjoy your stay.

A pink tongue licked at his lips as he scrawled a hand through his hair. He hated this part the most. Writing everything down made it much more real, more permanent, something to be judged by. Honest answers should keep him out of trouble for the time being.
