Hello Acropolis players! I am providing more detailed descriptions about the separate areas designated for Role Play below just in case there is any confusion.

Open Units
In a separate wing of the Institution, these units are essentially single ‘rooms’ for patients to live in. Every unit has an open door that can be locked if necessary, with the residing patient’s information displayed on the outside. Inside there is a sheeted bed with pillow and blanket and a side table for personal belongings if behavior allows (ie: radio, books, flowers, etc.). There is a single barred window. If the Institution gets overcrowded, patients can be assigned roommates by pairs and two beds in each. The hallways and other rooms are free to roam unless it is curfew. Staff does routine checks hourly.

Crisis Units
These are separated units reserved for the severely ‘troubled’ patients. There are no windows. Most patients inside are probably wearing a straitjacket, and the beds have straps for restraining if needed. There is nothing else in the room. Doors are most definitely locked. This is also the area where staff can do private work, such as therapy, questioning, and surgery. Staff will have to wheel in supplies by cart, as nothing should be left behind.

Medical Offices
Only staff has access to this wing of the hospital. Doctor’s Offices, Break Rooms, Supplies and etc. are here. This is also where visitors check in… if Acropolis ever had any.

Recreation/Cafeteria
The cafeteria is a large room with open windows, a serving line and rows of tables and chairs. There are also vending machines for snacks. Utensils are all disposable plastic. The courtyard is a fenced off area outside, with benches, basketball hoops, a running track, etc. for lots of exercise and sunshine. There is also an indoor living space, with couches, televisions, books, games, telephones, etc. to stimulate and entertain the mind. These areas are constantly monitored and any items inside are not to be taken back with patients into units.

Locker Room
Sex designated changing rooms with lockers, open showers, toilets, sinks and mirrors. Supplies (toothbrushes/paste, brushes, razors, shaving cream, mouthwash, etc.) are loaned out by the staff on duty and must be returned before heading back to units. Only the toilets have privacy stalls.
